    Hull Maintenance

Just bought a 95 Sport Natique from a camp. Sat in the water all summer long. The hull needs to be cleaned. Tried hitting a spot with Meguires cleaner. Didn't put a dent in lake film.Should I move up to a compound or is there something better out there. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If it is really bad, you can use Starbrite hull cleaner. It's got some acid in it though, so use it carefully and read and follow the directions. Then, I would rinse thoroughly, dry it, and then use a polish/compound.

I use ZAPP hull cleaner and it works great! Make sure you use safety glasses and rubber gloves (like you'd use for washing dishes). This stuff will irritate your skin and make sure no to take a deep breath of the stuff as it will put you on your rear end!

soak down your trailer and carpet etc. to reduce negative effects of run off.
