Trailer tires

My 94 Nautique is on a single axle Correct Craft trailer and needs new tires. The current tires are ST225 75 15 Load Range D. Do I need to replace them with Load Range D tires, or could I use Load Range C tires?

You would have to weigh the setup and divide by two to see if the weight would exceed "c". I'd go with D.

I agree with AirTool, go with the D's. I have the same trailer/tire size running D load range as well as on the spare.

I'd take the set of D's over the set of C's. Oh wait, are we talking about tires?

Depending on the size of the tires, it might be hard to find D (...though I don't think it's an issue for your size). For my travel trailer, I wanted to move from C to D and ended up with Kuhmo tires, a brand that's gotten a lot of good feedback on the travel trailer forums. Assuming I have good luck with them, I'll use them on my boat trailer when the time comes.
