Interested in the GPS perfect pass to replace my original perfect pass in my 03 SANTE
May want to consider the Nauticlaugic option instead. I hope to have mine setup within the next 2 weeks and can report back on how well or poorly it works.

first i have heard of that, cant wait to hear how it does. am looking to dump my paddle wheel too ...
Thanks for the replies. I'm tired of my boat surging and constantly trying to keep a consistent speed. I'm seriously considering the Star Gazer upgrade, but am willing to wait to hear how that other upgrade works.
Assuming my fuel or electrical problem is fixed by the dealer before the weekend of the 17th, I should be able to give a full report by the end of that weekend.

after going over the nautic laugic website and reading the specifics, im pretty much on verge of ordering one today. comes with a warranty, and the price / ease of installation make it a no brainer really ...
I did the Stargazer upgrade in my 05 SANTE. I would recommend upgrading to Stargazer because you will make back most if not all of the difference in cost between Stargazer and Nautic Laugic by selling your Wakeboard Pro setup.
Since you have an '03 I'm assuming you have the single line display so you'll need to upgrade to the multi line display. Once you buy the Stargazer upgrade and new multi line display, you'll be in it for $700. After you do the upgrade you can turn around and sell your Wakeboard Pro setup. I sold my Wakeboard Pro setup for $600 that included a display, Wakeboard Pro module, servo and wire harness. The buyer just needed to get a paddlewheel to complete the kit. It was a quick sale too so it leads me to believe I could've sold it for more.
I would guess you could sell off your module and display for $400-$500. That puts you back $200-$300 for your Stargazer upgrade while the Nautic Laugic upgrade is $250-$300 with no leftover parts you can sell off. And you'd have the new fancy multi line display that has names, water temp, engine rpm and speed shown all at once.

all good points, but the aggravation level is certainly multiplied basically just to have the new display ... did you sell your old setup locally or online?

Sure there's the risk that you can't offload the old PP setup but from what I've seen there are always people looking to buy a used PP setup. I sold it on wakeboarder.com the same day I posted the ad.
I think selling just the display and module on a non-DBW setup is a bit more difficult. I do think that a full Stargazer system is likely better if you can swing it.

Unless I get really lucky and fix the problem my boat is having myself this weekend myself, it is likely going to be several weeks before I can test the nauticlaugic system. You can thank Buxton's Marine for this.

i saw your post in the other thread about what happened. sorry they ended up wasting so much of your time dude, that sucks.
if i end up ordering one in the next few days i will report back how it did ...
Yeah, I realize I'm kind of being a baby about this, but it's not just affecting me. It's affecting my friends from out of state who had to cancel their trip, it's delaying installation of hardwood in our house (long story, but my not being available this Saturday is now going to delay this), and it's affecting those who are patiently awaiting my review of this GPS!
