    Spark plug suggestions?

    Hi guys,
I'm just doing some preseason tweaking, and I tried to find replacement plugs for our Pro Air (python engine), and I was surprised to learn that the plugs are "marine" plugs.

Does anyone know what makes a plug "marine spec?"
    Any faves for plug brands?
Any good crossovers for the AC MR43T?
Tips for or against just a regular hi-perf plug?
    Any pertinent tips appreciated!

    thanks,
    Jack

R43T is the same plug without the corrosion resistance which is minimal anyway. I have used automotive plugs for years in boats with no problems. Just use antiseize on the threads and the boot grease on the boot end of the plug and you are good to go. Make sure not to get R43TS which is common in cars. The tip is extended and may hit the top of the piston

The MR43T plugs are the same as the R43T. The "T" plugs either one have larger center & ground electrodes. These plugs are used in high load applications, ie, marine & heavy duty truck, etc... Both will perform the same except the "MR" plugs have a stainless steel shell and really do not cost much more than the non-marine plugs.
