For those of you who had the same issue I am having....temp gauge rises/pegs, then when hit sharply with your hand...goes back to normal.......did you replace the gauge or the temp sending unit? Logic tells me that it is a gauge issue since striking the gauge itself temporarily corrects the problem but I have read conflicting reports. I am several hours away from my boat which is on a lift at the lake so I would like to take the needed part with me to fix the problem. thanks.
