Have always dreaded changing the fuel filter on our boat and my buddies similar model. Always used two, sometimes three filter wrenches, broken numerous ones, bought what we thought was stouter ones, etc. etc. ( yes, I grease the threads and all that). Having the same difficulties this spring, in a state of depression read numerous forums and came across one that stated they used a big set of channel locks purchased at Home Depot. I was there today and picked up a large set for about $25. Carefully opened the package so I could return them thinking that this was no better than our stout filter wrenches, and I could not believe how easy the filter unscrewed all by myself. So a shout out to the person who suggested this,, THANKS! Called our ski buddy who said bring 'em to the lake Sunday to try on his boat because he does not believe me at this point.
