    Teak Oil Cure Time

I'm thinking of re finishing my swim platform and was wondering how long the teak oil has to cure before using. Thanks for any info on this.

It depends on how deep of a process you make it. I always gave 24 of hours of drying time between coats and sanding. I'd put numerous coats, sanding between each, to get the finish I wanted. That was my winter project, before buying boats with composite platforms. Here are a couple of pics...

Is say 48 to 72 hours. Faster of you leave it on the sun. Wipe off the excess after 10th min. Of applying and toss it in the sun and you'll be good.

In the FL summer heat I used to wait about 24 hours and leave it in the Sun all day. Since your in VT probably guessing 48 - 72 as mentioned before.

It depends on the brand of teak oil. Not all teak oils are the same. Follow label directions.
