    1993 Ski Nautique trailer brakes

Several years ago I raised the hitch in a storage space savings effort. Of course the fluid in the brake reservoir leaked out. Long story short, the brakes haven't worked for some time and the trailer tongue slides forward and back and brakes don't engage as you might expect, etc. Can anyone offer guidance on making the brakes operable again. Thanks in advance!

Refill the fluid reservoir and bleed the air from the system (two man job). If that doesn't work you may need to rebuild or replace the cylinder in the hitch. If you dont want to mess with the hydraulic brakes at all, remove the surge brake hitch and install a bulldog is similar hitch, doing so would render your brakes useless but you wont have to deal with slack. I think i seen a thread on here about the bleeding process, if you dont find it PM me.
