Good prop for 99 Air?

I just picked up a 99 Air a few months back that came with a spare banged up prop. It's a Acme 422. I'm sending it in to have it cleaned up to factory specs...
But doing so made me look at what I have on the boat now. It's also a 422. My Air has 1600lbs custom ballast system. Is this the correct prop for me? Or do I need more cup with a big load?

I never had a problem with that prop. It handled everything I threw at it. Planing was never a problem, even with all that ballast full.

Good to know. I haven't had any problems either. Just thought I'd ask. Where did the spare come from?

Only been out 4 times so far! Hoping to get out this weekend, and I'll have it for 9 days over vacation.

The spare came from the owner before me. He gave it to me when I bought the boat. I'm guessing he had it on originally, banged it up, and replaced it with the pristine 422 now on there. I was fortunate and never hit anything.

You have been out the same amount of times I have, but the last 3 of my 4 have mostly been testing to see if I fixed the stalling problem that I first discovered on my 1st outing (I haven't). I have surfed 1 set and wakeboarded 1 set all summer. I'm beginning to think my problem is as simple as bad gas. Symptoms line up, and I've been on the 1 and only fill-up since I bought it. I filled it up at a no-name station near Caddo lake that charged me my first born son for the fill-up. At those prices, I suspect they don't move a lot of gas, so it could be pretty old. Boat's at the dealer now. I hope to have it fixed soon, as I have friends flying in next weekend (including Bob), and our intent is to use the boat 4 days in a row all day... we'll see. With my recent luck, my boat will be fixed just in time for the lakes to hit 4' low (too low to launch)...

Glad the 99 is treating you well. You have to look pretty hard to see that it's not a new boat, and she runs like a top. I still miss her. She's is in better shape than my new to me 2000. If my wife wouldn't have killed me, I'd have kept her and bought the 2000.
