Fuelsender problem

it sounds like the sender wires are grounding out on something. Does the fuel gauge read full or does it peg out when you connect the wires (the needle jumps to the full side very fast)

What make, model, and year is your boat?

When I connect the wires the needle goes slowly to full, I think it's not a problem off the gauge. The boat is a '97 SN.
Maybe I can make something with a resistance but's not original.
I'dont no if there is a wiering diagram so let me now.

Did you checked the sender impedance when the sender was in or out the tank?
I don't know what the the impedance of the sender should be (empty/full), but you can check that at the dealer. The replaced fuelsender was a new one?

I've the sender out of the tank and it's a new one. And it has the same impedance as the old one. So that looks good to me!

Yesterday I've disconnect the wires from the gauge and the sender
and connect them direct to the battery with new wires, the fuelsender has the right impedance and I've the same problem so it must be the gauga, I think

Henrico, is their a possibility for you to get an adjustable resistor (at an elektronics shop or something)... In this way it should be possible to "simulate" the fuelsender.
In that way you could take out your gauge, connect it to the power and instead of the fuelsender; the resistor...
If this won't work, the problem is indeed in your gauge. I adjustable resistor should cost you something like a eur 1,- or less...
