    Carpet Replacement

I've got all of my old carpet out. Now I'm trying to get the old glue out. Good times. Scraping it only gets me so far.

Do i have to get every single bit of old glue off of the fiberglass or can I get away with some glue or should I pick up a giant jug of industrial goo remover and just get rid of it all?

    Thanks!

I would suggest using a large disc sander with 80 grit and just get as much as you can off. You might go through a few discs gumming up but it will prep the surface at the same time for the new glue and carpet.

ok. thanks! that sounds like a much better plan than using a chemical strip. I was worried about tearing up the floor with a sander, etc, but should be ok.
