    Pink mold

Like an idiot I left my flip flop seat fliped down on my 2010 210 while we were away for 2 weeks. When I came back I have litle spots of pink on the skin. Has anyone had any luck in getting this off with out using harsh cleaners?
    Thanks

Use a babe's seat and vynal cleaner, and a foam detailing sponge (we get them from our local chevy dealer) should take it off with a little elbow grease!

I hope so Nautyrider. My experience years ago was that the pink would not come out under any circumstances. At the time someone on TeamTalk discussed the pink being a byproduct of a fungus eating the vinyl or something on that order and that the pink stain was not something that could be removed. Maybe some of the newer products, this was years ago, can do a better job. If you can't get it out you might consider having the vinyl dyed by a professional. Check with your dealer, they may have someone who already stops by periodically to do touch ups on their inventory.
      Keep us posted.

Give it a few uses in the hot sun and see what happens.

I did some checking last night and there are numerous threads on the web about the mold that eliminates a pink waste byproduct that stains vinyl. Unlike others this mold resides IN the vinyl and thus is nearly impossible to get out. Not surprisingly AirTool is close with his suggestion to put it in the sun. Several people said that worked or faded the pink, UV degradation I assume, so you might give that a try.

My first call would be to the vinyl manufacturer, should be listed in your owners packet, and see what they recommend. Let us know what you find that works or doesn't work, you aren't the only one who has had this problem.

Airtool is right. Put it in the sun. Might take a couple times, but it will go away. I hadn't used the 210 in a couple week. Pulled it on top of the hill at the marina and let it bake in the sun. All the spots were gone. Also hit it with a little 303. Make the vinyl shine which attracts the sun.

I have looked through my owners packet and all I can find is a card that gives two names of vinyl manufactures. They are SRT Force vinyls and Final Finish vinyls. The card does not offer any contact info and the only thing I can come up with on a search is G & T industries. They make foam for seats and seem to be in with SRT. Does anybody else have any better contact info.
                Thanks

i have the same problem and i live in middle east with very high humidity. Mold is only visible where my cover touches the vinyl .Once the mold is in vinyl impossible to shift with any product. I leave my cover off and leave boat in the sun, this totally solves the problem and mold disappears, however if i put cover back on the mold will return within 24 hrs . only have this problem in summer humidity (90%) and 130 deg f air temp!!!

                    Mold

Would it be possible to tent your boat and fog with fungicide, the same way that houses were tented after Hurricane Katrina then treated to kill the mold. Anyone ever heard of this. Seems like it would work. I have no idea of the costs though.
