    Screws Coming Loose

I have a SAN 230 2010 Coastal Edition and just recently been having issues with the screws around the boat coming loose. The floor screws backing out, the bumper rail screws coming out, etc. Has anyone experienced this? I am at the point where I need to put some removable locktight on all of them, but it seems this should not be happening.

Every boat that I have ever had has screws that loosen up over time. It's just part of the constant vibration that boats see. I just did a walk around the entire rub rail on my 08 210 and several of the screws needed re-tightening.

Interesting. I have never tightened a single screw in any of my Nautiques.

Completely agree with this.....Every boat I have owned had done the same.....Occasionally I will even find a washer or screw somwhere and not know where it came from.....About once a month I do a good once over with a screwdriver and a set of allen wrenches to tighten everything back up.

Every boat I have owned too has had screws come loose. My current boat was the worst, but the 502 motor shakes the whole boat way worse then all the others. I think it also has to do with how rough the water is that you typically run on. I would think a coastal boat sees rougher seas than average?

            It happens. Tighten them.

My 98 SN doesn't have this problem much.
I've owned 2 other boats where this was much more of a problem.
It's also part of why I love my SN, it's such a simple, well constructed boat.
              Everything is solid.
