Yes, just the red cover. Crazy but the heat over extended running would build up and the engine would lose power. We removed the red cover over two years ago and the problem has not returned.

hi some news after the dealer check up

first we check fuel pressure during the problem and......It was THE problem

the high pressure was new, tank cleaned, so the last element I couldnt check because it was too tighten was the PREFILTER!!!!

all those problems for a small prefilter.....

we removed it and run perfectly now

for the story, the prefilter has never be changed I think since 2006!! because it was completely clogged.

recently i make the full of fuel and i think all the debris go into the prefilter and finish to be clogged.

so we check all the rest and change oil after the first 25 hours since we rebuild the engine

and ....................I buy now a gauge to check fuel pressure because its very simple and you can have a quick idea of the problem

thank you for all your comments and see you soon

I will make a topic for winterizing because I will make it myself, my dealer who now is a friend tell me how to do.

nicolas who is returning to wakeboard

          thanks its normal

if my experience can help other nautique owners in the future its cool

          Its the goal of forums!!

in my country there is a little number of towboat like this , so its difficult to find these kind of information.

here you are a photo of mine

the first 25 hours are finished, so we test the engine at 4900 RPM and its run very STRONG!!!

better than before and I understood when the dealer show me the old block engine in his garage, its completely rusty, there is two holes in the metal in which you can put your finger!!! finally im happy its has broken because I think it was impossible to do a lot of hours like this....
