I pulled the plugs from my GT-40 and they say AWSF22C on them. I went to Autozone and they gave me Autolite 103 spark plugs for replacement and I installed them. I then checked the owner's manual and it says Motorcraft AWSF22 and you should use Autolite 763 for replacement. I know these numbers change over the years but does anyone know if I have the wrong plugs? Thanks.

From my research I've found the following:
I have the original factory plugs on my 1996 GT40. They are AWSF-22C. According to the autolite chart, they map to 103.
The 764s which map to AWSF-32C are a hotter plug and belong in the non GT40 engine which I see in my PCM manual. The
PCM manual states that AWSF-22C maps to Autolite 763 not 764. The 763 is no longer produced. So I plan to use 103C which should be the correct heat range for this engine to prevent detonation. The AWSF-22C in there now are burning very cleanly.
