    07 SANTE 220 oil change problem/ question

    i am doing (my) first oil change on my 07 220 with the Excalibur engine. i have read the oil change (winterize instructions). i have snaked the oil drain hose under the engine and out the drain plug in front of the v drive.

    is this the right hole? it was difficult to get there.

    there is no flow out the hose, do i need to use a drill pump?

    You probably already got your oil changed but if not I suggest you go ahead and route that oilline right back up to the top of the engine and go out and buy a pump. I wouldn't waste money on a drill style pump. Get a manual suction style and the attachments to connect it to the end of the oil drain hose.

    Trying to drain the oil through the oil drain hose out the bottom of the boat would take an entire boating season I think! Below is a link to a nice pump I'm thinking about getting:

      thanks for the advice. yes i did get the oil changed. i did what you said. i routed the hose back up to the top and pumped it out with a drill pump. it worked well.
