My silk drive threaded connection has a small drip that's filling the bilge compartment below the leak. My aft bilge pump is out and I haven't had time to replace it yet, so the small drip fills one bilge compartment and flows to the next and so on.
My question is, what is the best marine thread sealant to stop the slow drip? I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible and am reluctant to try and tighten the connection. Experience has taught me to keep it simple and you won't create new problems.
