Water in oil - oil leak

I'm getting some water into the crankcase and also noticing and oil leak into the bilge from the front of the engine. The amount of water in the oil is minimal. Motor runs strong. Compression is perfect.

    I've heard it could be:
    - risers
    - head gasket
    - cracked block - the boat is never in below freezing conditions and hasn't overheated

The Nautique dealer looked it over and couldn't find anything and concluded cracked block-not because they found anything, because they didn't find another reason for water in the oil They changed the oil and it didn't take on oil at their shop. Once on the lake the oil looks a little milky again. The Nautique dealer advised that with the small amount of water being injested I could very well run the boat for a long time. They advised to keep an eye on the oil for increased water content and watch my guages as well. They said a replacement longblock was another option.

I towed people around the lake putting 6 hours on the engine this weekend. The oil is a little milky but still transparent. Oil level didn't increase. The bilge had a couple of cups of oily water.

I'm uncomfortable with the answer that since they couldn't find anything the conclusion is the block. The service writer is a good guy, but the dealer did very poor work on my trailer brakes and bearings last year.

    Ideas?

Who's the best PCM/Nautique mechanic is the SF Bay or Stockton area?

It could also be the intake manifold gasket.

Do you have the 305 Chevy engine?

Bob Bense, the former manager of West Coast Correct Craft, has set up shop in the Sacramento area. I can't recall the name of his shop, but you can be assured that he has the very best in boat techs & service. It might be a bit of a drive for you, but if anyone can diagnose your issue, Bob would have the resources to do it. Does anyone have Bob's info?

Bob goes by SBRS on this forum.

I too recommend his shop as the one to take your boat to in the Bay area.

Find out what heads are on it. The 98-06 (or there about) GM engines with Castec heads had a manufacturing defect that made them prone to cracking. There was a TSB I found on the issue when I started have problems with my 04 GMC.

              Hi

When i bought my used 210 san 2006, after 15 minutes running, a probleme appears and i see some white cream in engine compartiment, with decreasing oil pressure

The engine block was cracked in three location and the dealer has changed the block

I just saw another GM block, with cracks in the water jacket, below the cylinder head, in the lifter valley.
The GM engine uses thin wall castings. Really thin wall in some cases.
