hahahahaha! Nice Jeff. You will have to disassemble the rear seat to either get to the battery or pull the pin at the top of the actuator. Its not that hard, but a little time consuming. Lets see some pictures of the boat.2001 Super Air Nautique

Nice. That's 1 of only 11 Python SANs from 1999 I believe. Get the original retro graphics from Nautiqueparts.com and get that baby back to its original glory. Best graphics ever. Nice that it came with the 2nd Gen tower. You my friend have found the unicorn. Now

I bought 1999 Nautique SS few months ago and got new battery installed. Last Saturday before I took boat to the lake. I opened the engine hatch with switch by the driver side and put something in there and closed it. When I arrived at the lake (about 45 min drive) and launched boat on the water, then wanted to turn blower on. There was no power at all. I wasn’t able to open engine hatch at all. It was working fine when I left home and I believe that it may be caused by the bad road bump I drove over them a several times. Any idea how do I get to the engine hatch to open without power?

I highly recommend adding a battery switch as well as a second battery. Search my post for my install. I have a switch under the seat that I shut off when the boat is in transit or storage so this will never happen.2001 Super Air Nautique

I had this issue with an engine hatch on a 36 Chris Craft Corsair other hatch weighed 300 lbs.) My mechanic connected battery charger leads to a cigarette lighter plug and plugged it into the lighter outlet at the helm to back feed the electrical system... brilliant!
