    2000 Ski fuse question

New to this forum and would like to know if someone out there might be able to help me. The other day I hit start and my boat tried to kick over and then shut down. Hit start again and I had no power. No dash lights bilge or anything. Checked everything out and found the inline fuse from the positive lead to the key pad blew out. The fuse was kinda corodide so I couldn't figure out what amp fuse it was. Does any one know what amp fuse that is?

And why would that fuse blow?

    Thanks

I'm not positive but i think it was a 30 amp. I changed mine out when I installed my stereo. The reason it would blow would be corrosion making the load higher than the fuse. A corroded ground to the engine or from the engine to the main breaker box would also cause a failure. I cleaned all my connections and haven't had a single problem. Having said that check the 2 red breakers on the back of the engine. The 60 amp is for the ignition/starter circuit and the 15 amp is for the low pressure fuel pump. If yours is starting to go that can trigger the breakers.
