Hit Log and now propeller or trani slipping

    Hi All,

hit submerged log last weekend with 2001 SAN. Changed out bent propeller for my spare and checked strut/drive shaft. Could move shaft easily by hand. Drove for 5 miles at 4,000 RPM - no vibration or problems. Later that weekend hit another log and now have a feeling of prop slippage or trani problem - if I go past 3,000 RPMs the boat feels like it is slipping in the drive train. Inspected prop - removed prop to ensure keyway was in place. Noted small ding on spare prop but reinstalled and tested again - still slipping at over 3,000 RPM. Is there a shear pin or something I should know on the V-Drive (walter) that can cause this problem? Help or suggestions is sincerely appreciated. I can't even get to the V-drive to inspect the bolts to shaft (no room at all in there!!!).

    Best Regards,

First find a different lake without logs. I hit a rock with my Supra years ago it sheared the key slot in the coupler.
