Has anyone ever had to replace the walk thru windshield

I just broke the walk thru part of my windshield.!! Has anyone ever replaced one? Just wondering what the replacement cost on one is?

Did you just break the glass? If so, I think you can take the frame apart and just slide the old glass out and slide new glass in.

I'd go to a local glass shop. It'll be much less expensive that way.

is it auto glass, i did'nt know if it was special glass.

My frame is missing, except for the hinged side. Anyone ever replace that?

I would go with autoglass, the factory glass is REALLY expensive. About the only thing special about the glass is the cut outs for the screws on the corners so, that the screws don't hit the glass. You hit the glass with a screw and you'll be doing it over again. When you do the job, use lots of soapy water to put the gasket and frame together, you'll have a much easier time getting things to slip together.

When replacing the windshield closure and screw I found out the hard way the glass didn't have cut outs. In addition to the closure I had to replace the glass in a 95 Sport.

I completely removed my windshield and removed all framing to have re powdercoated and it was quite simple. The only screws holding it together are obvious and no hidden fasteners or the like. Good advise on the glass cutouts for the screws if you get auto glass replacement. As mentioned use soapy water or just windex to reassemble.
