I have a leak on my 03' SANTE coming from the rudder assembly. Has anyone had luck tighting the packing nut a little? Or, should I be preparred to disassemble and reseal the whole thing? Thanks.
It's not that hard to repack the rudder assembly once you get to it.After 8 years I would think you should repack it unless it has been done earlier. You can try tightening it a 1/4 turn but that will only delay the repacking bu a year or two at the most. There was a thread on here earlier that talked about adding a grease fitting to the nut. You might want to search that. Good luck.
