what do you estimate this to cost me at a dealer? i already have everything but the steering cable and throttle cable. just no time to get it done.

I was thinking between 2-3k. I'm guessing the steering and alignment are most expensive? I'm going to get a sealed coastal edition cable if I can

With parts and labor in my shop you would be looking at about $1.500.00 pluss or minus a couple hundred dollars, provided you had the steering cable. We are at $85.00 per hour and 10 hours is a good estimate. A good shop can multitask, drain fluids while changing other componets. especially on a V-Drive where you have to get down in a compartment a tech should be able to do multiable tasks and piggyback functions. You would also get a complete Diacom printout as we would also run a diagnostic scan. Method to the madness!!!

But will they actually give a credit for this? The auto mechanics I know won't.

About the closest I've gotten is no labor to replace a belt they had to take off anyway. Also got free labor to install a sealed wheel bearing on my 4x4 becuase it was off already to do the ball joints. (Probably the owner felt bad because he then figured out my ball joints were good and the wheel bearing was the problem.

In both cases, I paid list for the parts so they made $$ there anyway.

When I had my mc liquid sports would always do each thing, mark it, and move on. Drove me crazy. I'll do the trans and v drive myself to save $. Thanks for the labor estimate. I'm also going to remove the compartment separators and as much as I can to make it easier on them. No life jackets or sacs left in or anything.

Would anyone from Canada care to give an estimate for the above service? Maybe someone in the Muskokas who uses Pride marina :-)
I'm 4 hrs from Silver Spray in Michigan so I would probably go there.

Similar to many people on planetnautique I perform my own maintenance, but at some point I may need dealer assistance. Just curious.

I would not recommend Pride in Muskoka or any of their other locations for that matter. Complete rip-off and I really have to question whether their techs know what they are doing. I will give you an example, I had a bad starter this year. Pride charged me $700 to fix it which included a rebuild of the starter (which they told me cost $125 to a local guy), so therefore $575 labour to replace the starter. Completely ridiculous
