    Intermittent fuel delivery problem.

I have a 5.8 boss PCM with a pro tech TBI. The boat runs and performs well. We can ski / wakeboard for hours with no trouble. When we break for lunch we pull up on a beach. Sometimes we are there for an hour sometimes we are there for three hours. Regardless of how long we are there when we go to leave the boat will start and as soon as we back off of the beach the boat stalls. I take the spark aresstor off of the TBI and the injectors are not spraying fuel. Both pumps sound like they are priming. This only happens when we pull up on the beach. The boat does eventually re start and runs great for the rest of the day. I can not duplicate this problem on the trailer or when we are skiing. All and any help would be appreciated.

I've been having a similar issue with my TBI. I determined it was some form of heat soak. The guys at Ski Dim think it has to do with vaporization and E10 fuel. To test, I propped open the clam shell with a life jacket. It seemed to fix the issue. Now I have some rubber on the front two corners of the clam shell. It's propped up about an inch. Haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for the info. I will try and leave the blower on while we are parked there and see if that helps.

I was wondering if anybody knows if the 94 5.8 boss with the protech TBI has a low oil pressure fuel shut off. I was wondering if the oil sending unit could be starting to fail and is sending a open circuit to the ECM that shuts down the injectors.
