Tandem Axel Trailer

Does anyone know if there is a general weight capacity for a standard double axel trailer? i am thinking about towing w/an extra 500-700lbs of lead in the boat, does anyone have any opinon on this idea? Bad idea?

Someone is planning to shoot alot of ducks. In all seriousness, check your tires' max load, they are often the weak link.

I am pretty sure there is a capacity plate on the trailer frame that would have this info, but be sure not to exceed the ratings on your tow vehicle.

Like they say, you might be able to PULL it, but can you stop it and control it if you have an emergency?
