Anyone have any magic ticks/tips for rehabbing dried weathered sano pad on a platform? The ex owner always stored the boat outdoors with just a travel cover, platform exposed. Anyway to rehydrate it? Or is it a replace kinda deal only??

If the boat is going to sit over the winter, drench the sano in 303.
I do that about every other month (but store inside)...the material seems to love 303. I think one bottle of 303 could give your several applications...like 2 a month over the winter. Power wash all the powder off before the first treatment. Maybe it will come back to life.
Otherwise (next year)...."what jeff said"....you don't want the residue getting tracked into the boat. You might also consider switching to gray. There is also a new material IIRC, others need to suggest.

Dave love your product (have it on my 2010 Yamaha SHO) but I want to keep the boat factory and uniform. I would have to replace all the sano and theres ALOT. Plus I dont want to have to cut it, if I buy new I want pre-cut.2008 210 SAN TE (Moonraker Yellow over Midnight Blue)

The soaking in 303 is working. After ever outing I have been pouring 303 on the sano and it's closing the cracks and no more white dry flake scratches. I also busted out the old 3m compounds and cut down the fiberglass with course and brought it all the way back to gloss and 2 coats of wax. Starting to look like a new platform really good to see all the old board scratches gone.2008 210 SAN TE (Moonraker Yellow over Midnight Blue)

The black SANO on our boat has oxidized some, and I think results in a few black water spots on the transom (that wipe off). That's one reason why I thought about switching over to the light grey color this off season. David at Nautique Parts told me: "The way we remove the old sano is simply to pry it up with a plastic scraper and start to peel it up. If the sano is in direct sun light, and warm it will release easier. You may also take a heat gun to warm the sano. After removing the sano, clean the remaining glue with a solvent (we use acetone). The Sano is self-adhering (pressure sensitive adhesive) ready to peal and stick."2010 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition

I have to recommend going to the the new Sea Deck material. I got so tired of that Sano. It was replaced twice because it would get dry and cracked/peeling up. That stuff actually injured someone on my boat by pinching their skin and caused some bleeding. And I had gotten tired of the cuts to my hands if I had to reach down between somewhere only to have that stuff cut me.(when it would peel up and break, it left sharp edges) An inferior product on a superior vessel... imo

I'm not a sea deck fan. Have some friends with larger Sea Rays with it and it powders after some time in the sun. I'm in Texas and 72 days over 100 degrees this year will tear up anything in the sun. Pls I'm a factory type of guy I would have to tear out alot of sano.2008 210 SAN TE (Moonraker Yellow over Midnight Blue)
