    Broken throttle?

Was running boat in driveway to warm up for oil change. Reached down to push throttle to rev higher and it would not move. Looking closer I found this part cracked and small spring type wire hanging out. Not an expert so I need to know what this is and is this common or should I contact PCM? Last time I ran boat, manually moving throttle worked fine. Your thoughts? Will add pic later, trying from iPhone and couldn't figure it out

    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

Give it one more try before I call the dealer. ZR6 motor. See above post for details. I am getting boat out of storage in April and would love to have the right part waiting to replace it. All I need to know is what it is called and where I may get one that may be cheaper than calling the dealer.
      Thanks

Looks like the TPS or Throttle Position Sensor. That is what translates the mechanical movement of the throttle handle into an electrical signal for the computer to read to know how much fuel to give the engine. Call White Lake marine and they should be able to hook you up with a new one.
