    Throttle lever binding

    Hi all.
Does anyone know how to remove the morse throttle linkage on my 01 210?
Mine appears to be binding from neutral 12 oclock to about 10 oclock. Once past that point its fine. It feels like its actually in the lever mechanism and not cable related.
Have tried to have a look at it whilst in situ in the boat but just not enough room to get to it.

    Thanks

Ok well as there's not been a rush of suggestions I decided to strip it down and have a look.

First I removed the drivers seat to allow more room for access.

I then removed the stereo and disconnected the multi plugs behind the drivers arm rest panel.

Removed the throttle lever and un screwed all the bolts holding the panel in place.

I could then remove the entire panel.

This gave me a great view of what was happening. The throttle cable is held in position by a pin securing it to a bracket.

When moving the throttle I noticed the cable has a guide tube at the end which basically looks like it protects the internal cable. For some reason this tube was broken into two pieces and when moving the throttle one of the broken pieces was catching on the bracket causing it to be stiff. Once the throttle was moved further the broken piece was then able to clear the bracket and no longer be stiff.

To solve the problem it looks like I will need a new cable as I believe this tube is part of the cable.

For now I have managed to bend part of the bracket out of the way.

I will replace the bracket also as it has gone very rusty.

I will post some photos if anyone would like to see.
