Red check engine light on 08 sv211

I just got an 08 sv211 with 343 pcm motor and noticed that at above 30mph the red check engine light comes on and that at same time the oil pressure gauge pegs at 80psi. Engine runs good though.

Can anyone tell me if high oil pressure will make the check engine light come on on these motors? Also, is there a way to find out what come the pcm sets other then bringing it to the dealer? nearest dealer is 3 hours away.

    Thanks

I'm currently having a very similar problem on my 08 210. The check engine light stays on all the time. The oil pressure (both analog and digital) both either peg out or read zero. Zero is annoying because it triggers the audible alarm and you can't shut it off. I believe that I have isolated it down to a bad oil pressure sending unit (R020049). I ordered one last Friday from White Lake, so as soon as I get it in and installed, I can let you know if it solved my problems. It's kinda scary running the boat with no oil pressure data coming in, but the oil level on the dipstick is fine. I was also told that the ECM would put the boat into limp mode if there was an actual problem.

that would be great. thank you.

Wish there was some more information out there for diagnosing these boats yourself.

I understand that if the check engine light goes off from low oil level, it will require a reset from your dealer.
