Can't find part... the threaded thingies on the inlet/outlet of Raw Water Pump

I pulled my raw water pump during winterization. I noticed after I had it removed that the plastic (?) pieces that actually thread into the inlet and outlet 'nozzles' of the pump itself are completely messed up. Both of them are warped/distorted, clearly blocking the flow of water on the inside of the nozzles. It looks like they got hot and melted. Seems weird because they should be getting cold water all the time, but nevertheless they are jacked up. I'm assuming they're supposed to be smooth, and aren't designed to reduce the flow of water in any way.

The hoses actually slide over the outer flange of these pieces...the rest of the piece sits (I think it's threaded) into the nozzle of the pump itself.

The boat is a 2000 super air, and it has the 5.7 PCM Apex motor.

Does anyone know where I can find these pieces to purchase? I'm finding the whole pump assembly, but the pump is fine. I just want these little parts.

Here in San Diego we have an industrial hardware store called Marshalls. They aren't in No Cal but I would try Graingers or West Marine. Your dealer should also be able to get them. You should also be able to get them in brass instead of polypropylene. That way they won't melt.

Thanks, we have a West Marine not far away...

What is the point of these things? I'm assuming they're just covering the threads of the inlet/outlet, and that the threads in the pump would be used in other applications when connected to a threaded hose. They clearly aren't doing aything...maybe acting like a little bit of a hose barb to keep the hoses from sliding off...

Well now I don't feel too bad about not being able to find it...

""I've tried to locate that part in our parts book. I have not yet found it. I'm going to contact the factory to see if they can help us locate that part.
I will email you back once I hear back.
            Thanks,

            email #2:

"the parts person at the factory let me know he was working on it, but did not have an answer right away. We'll be in touch."
