How do you guys winterize your GT-40 motor? Last year, in winterizing mine, I sprayed fogging oil into the intake while the engine was running--until the motor died. Later I find out that PCM no longer recommends fogging the motor in this way. They are now saying that the GT-40 intake is considered a dry intake. I understand that there are concerns about getting oil on the MAP sensor.
On the other hand, my mechanic, who is PCM certified, insists that taking off the spark arrestor and spraying fogging oil into the intake until the motor dies is the only way to properly lubricate the valves and valve stems. So, I don't really know what to do.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
