Heater Install ??'s in 95' SS

I'm installing a Heatercraft in my SS which has a GT40 engine. Can someone post a picture of the exact places on where to attach the hoses to the engine. Also, to install my defroster vent is it ok to drill from under the dash upward towards the window if I put a lot of tape down on the gelcoat? or must I remove the windshield and drill down to do the vent? If I have to remove the window, how hard is that?

When I put the defrost vent in my 94 ski this winter, I just drilled up from the bottom, but put some tape over like you mentioned, and drilled VERY slowly... It turned out fine, but I might have just been lucky... Like I said, go slow and you will probably be fine.

I would definately pull the side of the windshield off. Not too hard to do and you don't have to worry about the drill hitting the windshield. I don't have a picture but you need a hose connected to the temp sensor and one installed on the "u" elbow of block plug on the starboard side.

Use the block plug in the side on the starboard side instead of the elbow plug it flows bettter. I recommend removing the windshield to drill the defroster vent. Don't forget to chamfer the screw holes to prevent stress cracks in the gelcoat, you can use a phillips bit in your drill to acomplish this.

I posted my installation of a heater on an '02 SAN a while back. Mine has the chevy motor, so there are some differences, but it should be similar.

I pulled the front windshield off, so I'm going that route for the defroster. I haven't looked at where to attach the hoses yet.............kids and work=not that much spare time, but I will get to it.

This is unrelated to your heater question, but I just got my 95 super sport and would like to hear your 2 cents worth regarding tower selections. Why did you choose the Titan?

I bought my boat used and it was already on it, so that's how I ended up with that tower. But I can tell you honestly, this tower is so amazingly solid!!! It doesn't move, doesn't sway, and makes no noise whatsoever.

The only thing is that on my boat I have to take off the front wishbone to get it under my garage header. You might be able to get away from that by mounting the tower a little bit further forward than what mine is. It only takes me about 3 minutes to take it off, so it's no big deal to me.
