Removing knock sensor and heater water line

I have a 2008 Ski Nautique with the 343 engine. I have winterized this boat every winter and every time I do it I struggle getting the Knock sensors plugs out(I cant seem to get my crescent wrench to get a hold of the plug). I also struggle getting the heater water line off the engine block. What is the best way to take the hose off the engine block? I am trying to remove the one near the top of the engine. Is there another tool that will help me get the knock sensors off?

    Hi Quinn,

A 7/8" deep socket, or box end wrench is what we use to remove the knock sensors. A hook fashioned from an old screwdriver makes hose removal much easier.

    Good Luck, Steve

The hose will come off easier if it is warm. sometimes pushing it on farther breaks the "glued" connection between the hose, and the fitting.
