FYI. I just re-did some of the heater vent hose, and used (new) RV sewer hose. I bought a 20' section of the same diameter pretty cheap. It is much heavier (last longer) and I think it actually loses less heat over a distance. My experience with the regular heater hose is that over time, it gets little holes and gets brittle.
