    Current Jabsco Ballast Pumps

With the winter months now upon us and the boat in the shop, I was hoping someone could help me out with a pretty easy ballast pump inquiry. For those of you with newer model SAN, I was hoping to get a little information on the reversible ballast pumps that are installed. The plumbing in my '02 SAN needs upgrading, and instead of having fill & empty pumps, I was hoping to install one that can perform both actions.

Model numbers, spec sheets, any information on what model I should consider would help.

I'd go with the johnsons, cheaper and faster!!! wakemakers is the only place to buy this stuff unless you prefer to spend more money, lol. they ship to canada too. drill another hole or 2 in the hull make sure you put in a ball valve, good luck, ive done many custom ballasts, and i am actually doing an 02 sante in the next couple months.

The Johnsons are a bit faster but they don't come with a switch or the preferred green impeller like the Jabsco does.

The cost of switches is still less than buying jabscos and as for the green impellers they do of course work in the Johnson's but I prefer the regular black ones and know alot of people will agree as the green ones have been known to jamb up quite often more than the black

Ultraballast pump is the Johnson you want. It is the only one they sell on wakemakers.com.

If you reverse the switch right at the end for just a second, you will increase the life of your ballast impellers significantly.
