been working non-stop on this since last weekend...but my camera has been out of commission so no photos yet. yesterday I got the 4 new through hulls mounted and sealed. i put one where in the old factory hole (filled the two screw holes from the old fitting with gel coat on the bottom and thickened epoxy from the top), and drilled one hole forward and one hole rearward spaced ~2.5" on center. vales and 1" hose barbs are mounted too. plenty of room in that location...although getting a pipe wrench and a cresent wrench in there to tighten everything was tricky. i also go two pumps mounted to the port side stern seat back. tons of room there for one...two is tight and the second needs a spacer (i used 1" square Al tube as suggested by someone on this site). after seeing the glass back there, I have no concerns about strenght...it's stout back there.
made a new switch plate from 3/16" Al that mounts where the factory knobs and switch was. put in all new vent through hulls too since mine were disintegrating from i guess too much sun. it's been going pretty smoothly so far...just lots to do. the nice thing is that there is plenty of room to work in this boat.
i buffed and waxed yesterday too. about to head out and scub the citristrip off the platform because some d-bag thought it was a good idea to put some sort of stain on it...yeah, nice...
