    Perfect pass servo motor?

Anyone got a new servo motor or step motor whichever you want to call it?
I'm After one for my san but as I'm in the UK it works out quite costly to have one shipped direct from PP. As they are 139 dollars plus about 80 dollars shipping then I get hit with import tax when it gets to the UK.
If someone had one they could send I could perhaps avoid import tax if that person marked the package as a gift.

    Cheers guys

They aren't much cheaper in the states since PP ships them next day, we don't get hit with a tax at the end though.

These motors are re-buildable. Usually due to the way they are mounted, water penetrates them and can't escape, and creates oxidization that seizes it up solid.
I rebuilt two of them last year, one for mine, and another for I did for a friend of a friend for $60 - which was cheaper than ordering a new one.

If you are mechanically inclined, it's quite do-able and you can bring them to like new condition.

Hi thanks for the reply. Mines not seized but loose. It trys to alter the speed but cannot hold it. The speed then drops back. As they rely on the throttle return spring to lower the speed so.think it is actually pulling the motor and making it slip. If that makes sense?

        Thanks again

Did you do all the tests in manual? After starting up it cycles and then cord to knob should be pretty tight. I had a problem with mine where there was a loose wire in one of the connections by motor so it would lose connection and then not control speed until it reconnected. If you pull lightly on each of the wires at every connector by the motor you might find same issue.

When it stops working you can pop hatch and see if cord to knob is tight. If not then could be loose wire.

Hi. Yes have tried all tests in manual and have even contacted perfect pass who gave me details on how to test all the wiring. When servo is on it does its auto tighten but you can touch the knob and turn it whilst its trying to tighten.
When you perform the motor test you can stop the motor from turning and turn it in the opposite direction easily.
It's like the motor has no balls!
            Thanks for your reply.
