    2 port heater

    just received my new-to-me '99 ski and my first project is to replace the heater, which the core was removed and hoses bypassed. does anyone know what auto core is the replacement for my 2 port heater ?*also the fan didnt turn on with the heater switch,tho light on switch did come on, where do i start to figure this out, voltage @ fan motor ?

      If you go to heatercraft, replace it with the 3 port heater. It is MUCH stronger.

      I know you can replace it with an auto core but don't remember which one. If you do a search, you will probably find it.

        Dave, where were the heaters installed on your 196's? Dad bought a 3-port unit to put in his '09 and the shorter air box makes things REALLY tight. I dont think it will fit on the horizontal surface.

          Are you saying two port because the core itself has two openings? Or you just have a two 'vent' heater. I believe it is the same as like a 90's ford pick-up, but i'm not 100% on that...

            I had a 4 vent in my 99 ski, it was tight, but not impossible.
