Water pump

Hi all.
I removed the pump at the end of season last year to remove impellar.
I made the big mistake of not noting which way round its meant to go. I can see a number 1 & 2 on the pipe connections.
Am I right in thinking 1 will be incoming water and 2 will be outgoing?

I make a stupid haBit of removing things without noting where or which way they go.

Note to self - Must try harder!

I think if you search the site for a shower install you may find a picture with the pump in it. That would show you how it goes. Sorry I don't have one on me.
