I just bought a new trailer for my 196 and in conversations with dealer, they still recommend single axle for the 196 but the new 200 is a heavier boat and hence requires a dual axle set up or a 5000lb axle as opposed to the 3500lb axle. however, the dry weight of a 206 is about 400 lbs heavier than my 196, which is comparable to the 200 so maybe its okay weight wise.

the 200 is also wider, so it might not fit properly on the trailer. are you upgrading and wondering if you can keep the trailer off your 206?

i have 200 but dont have the trailer for 200 but dealer has the 206

A new trailer designed for the 200 with a minimalist configuration (single 5k axle, drum brakes, carpeted steps) will be around $3,500.00 (I'm guessing here) why mess around saving a little money by getting a used trailer that isn't custom fit to your 200?

I get that you probably won't use it very often, but if I had just shelled out the money a 200 costs, I would want to make sure it was on a trailer designed for it.
