    Throttle slipping under choppy conditions.

Am hoping there's a quick fix regarding this issue:

When driving my 200 CB (ZR 409 engine) through choppy water my throttle starts falling into the downwards (open) position due to the jolting of the boat. So in effect, the speed of the boat slowly increases; I have to keep pulling the throttle back up every few seconds to maintain a desired speed.

When the water is flat the position of the throttle does not change; I encounter the above issue only when driving through mild to heavy chop. Is there any way I can make the throttle cable movement a bit stiffer?

    Thanks..

I had the same problem on my 1997 Ski Nautique.
On it, I removed the coming pad that covers the throttle mechanism, and there is a screw that adjusts the amount of drag on the throttle handle.
I have also worked on throttle controls for outboard boats, both Yamaha, and Mercury, and they also have drag adjustments.

Thanks for the input, hopefully that'll do the trick.
