    new 200 revs seem high

    guys

    breaking in my 200

    at 32mph she is doing 3800 rpm.....is this normal

    i ordered stock prop. Can the prop be put on the wrong way around?? my mech fitted it whilst doing the prep

    That is normal on a 200. If you have a 343 motor, the stock prop is your best option (IMO). If you have 6.0, talk to Jody Seal about potentially replacing the stock prop.

      The boat in question has the 343 Excal. I think its a fair to assume the boat is equipped with a 1868 (12.5x14.25). I would be curious to see how a 654 or 470 performs (both are 12.5x15). Jody seems to like a slightly larger prop on the 6.0L boats (422 or OJ 428 vs. the stock 654).

        If anyone in WI has a 470 or 654, we'll pop it on for a test. Bringing down the revs would be nice for fuel consumption, although it sure has one heck of a hole shot, and holds speed effortlessly with the 1868.
