I was wanting to replace the bunks on my CC trailer and wondered if anyone has done this yet? How do you bend the wood to follow the trailer's frame? Would you use only one board per rail or cut the board to fit the rail as you go along the frame? Summer is almost here and I need to get this done so I can enjoy my 89 2001.

RE: Trailer bunks on the old CC trailer
I did a redo on my trailer just a couple weeks ago and I found that I could use one piece just like the original. I cut it to length and then carpeted it and then I attached it at the ends first. Then I had a helper stand on it over the support and then moved to the next, bolting it with new bolts. Then I just backed it in the water and put the boat back on and let the boat do the rest. BTW I have a 90 SN. Then I put new carpet on all the other spots and built new fender backs and carpeted them and now the trailer looks brand new and works like a charm. One of these days I'll get around to painting it to match my boat but for now the original paint is looking good. Hope this helps.
