Does anybody have any tricks to remove the FCC bowl on a 2003 PCM Excalibur? I have destroyed two oil filter strap wrenches and still can't get the thing to budge. I am embarrassed to admit that I have not changed the filter for 5 years so the bowl has had a good long time to get stuck.

If you do a search on fuel filter you will find several threads on this topic. People do everything from removing it and putting it in a vise to 2 large Channel-locks. The trick is to have the leverage without bending the bracket or scaring the bowl.Nautiqueless in San Diego

Two filter wrenches. Lay down in the port side aisle, put one foot on the exhaust riser and give it a good couple of pulls. Not to hard. Not to soft. But just right.
/not me. But I watched my Correct Craft mechanic do it after my little girl arms failed miserably.

i have a gt-40 engine in my fish nautique. i have replaced the the canister fuel filter three times. every time i try it i have to remove the entire assembly and put it in my workbench vise to get the thing apart. nothing else seems to work.
