I can't remember the exact amount I paid, but it was in the range of $350-375...based on my discussions with ZeroOff, I paid dealer cost. It wasn't covered as a warranty claim (as were the early ones), but the idea was that the dealers weren't going to look at it as a profit opportunity. I bought mine from White Lake marine as my local dealer at the time wanted a significant markup.

The difference was noticeable (I run the OEM Power Prop...1579 I believe) and definitely worth it. Some have said the software upgrade alone makes a big difference....and that's free if you can get your hands on the cable necessary to install it.

Here's my 1579 prop showing clearance of about 7/8" to the hull. Doing the math, a 1235 would have about 3/8" clearance to the hull. Is this what all of you with 1235 props are seeing or is mine less?

I put a 1235 on this weekend. Just for reference, here is the same shot, showing about 7/16" clearance on the 1235 prop.

Chad, thanks for the photos. Please report on the differences you observe from the 1579 to the 1235 and for how much ballast you are using (WB and/or surf).

Not sure of what the cost is now, but I was doing some research on this a couple of years back. Here is the instructions for how to do the upgrade. I decided at the time that it wasn't worth the money as I didn't have the porposing issue all that often and I just killed it off by pushing the hydroplate forward when I did start porposing.

does the software update go hand and hand with the new antenna or can the software just be updated? thanks

you can do software w/o the antenna...some have reported that s/w alone helps
