Circuit Breaker Switches: Extremely difficult to engage and disengage

I'm curious to know if all 1999 Air Nautiques are this way or if I'm just the "lucky" one. It's likely the breakers are over tightened causing the issue, but I just want to make sure it's not a common issue with this year and make Nautique prior to resolving the issue.

    Thanks!

The breakers on my 99 SS are the same ones that were on my 90 Sport. Firm push to engage and disengage. Old school but bullet proof! The 90 lives in saltwater and breakers still work.

Squirt a little WD-40 on the shaft of the circuit breaker. I did this several years ago, with one breaker on my boat, knowing that if it was bad for the breaker, I could just replace the one bad one. After a few years with no bad results, I did them all.

My 96 Ski Nautique had very tight breakers. I decided to replace them. After I pulled them, I put the 60A breaker
across a 12V car battery. It did not open with well over 400 Amps flowing through it. I then tried a second time. No go.
I then pulled it apart (being an electrical engineer) and it was seized such that it would no longer break the circuit on an overload/short.
I replace all 3 on the engine. Now if a real short had taken place. At a minimum the wiring harness would have fried. Worst case,
a fire. By the way, PB blaster did not free it up. replace them ASAP.

Not worth worrying about. Replace them. I replaced all 10 on my dash. I didn't think to check breakers on the engine. Guess I will.
