    Upgrades to my 2008 210

During the winter did some nice upgrades to my 2008 210.

Added a windbreaker that i got for my birthday, which did not come with the boat when i bought i last year.
Added 4 tower speakers and an additional amp to the boat for powering the tower speakers. Bought everything here on the planetnautique forum and got some excellent deals. Thanks again for that.
Piggy bagged the front nose sack into the belly tank, so it automatically fills with the original ballast pump.

Last weekend test drove with full tanks, sac and an additional v-drive fly high sack 180 K in the back. The wake was excellent, the only problem i have that one side of the wake was not as steep as the other.
The boat was balanced correctly and if i would stay in the middle both wakes were clean. However the passenger side wake was more round and less steep than the driver side. Anybody else have this problem ?

I think you hit the nail on the head; my guess is your weight trim and that of your passengers needs to balance. . . Was it just you at the helm (no spotter)?

No there were more people in the boat (3 or 4). I meant to say when i was behind the boat and would stay between the wakes, it was balanced okay. Just somehow the one side is more rounded than the other. It is not that i would curl over, just more round....

wviveen, do you mean the off side gets rounded when you are riding on the outside of the other side's wake (and vise versa)? Like in pic #5 where the rider has jumped from the stbd wake and the port is rounded. I think that is just the dynamics of the rider's pull on the tower -- the side you are on is good. Just my two cents from having watch the wake shapes from the boat as the rider goes from side to side.

I agree with migs, pic #6 is an excellent shape with no "crumble"; what speed is that?

(oh: 180 "K" is for Kilograms or about 400 lbs)

No i am not talking about the off side.. I am right foot forward, if i cut in for a heel side jump the wake is clean but more round and flat then if i would cut in for a topside jump. You can see it if you are in the boat as well as when you are behind the boat. It is not curling over, it just has a different shape compared to the toeside wake... Don't get me wrong, the wake is plenty big and more then enough for me.
It is just that i can't figure out why the shape is different.

              wviveen,

I have noticed the same issue that you describe with the wakes being different shapes on my 08 210 and my friends 09 210. It is not your imagination or something you have out of wack. The starboard wake is nice, big and peaky. The port wake is rounder, mellower and not as big. I have tried different props, different weighting schemes, etc. and still not been able to resolve this issue. I have just kinda learned to live with it. I even counter balance the boat heavy on the port side, but it doesn't have any affect. When balanced, the rooster tail is perfectly straight and both wakes are clean, but one is shaped differently. I can only assume that this is due to the engine torque from the boat causing additional roll, but I haven't found the fix for it. I mentioned this a dozen times or so here on PN but haven't got much response. This makes at least 3 210's of that model line that do this, so I know that there has to be others...

If anybody does know the fix, please let us all know.

That is exactly what i am talking about... It is not a problem, just a strange thing that i can't seem to fix ? I am a bit surprised that there are not more people with the same problem ?

I have feeling our 2011 210 is the same with full ballast. But also worked out when you go to one side wake changes due to your weight pulling onto that side obviously. I sort of didnt think about it again after working that out. but guessing probably have same issue with different wake on each side. will check out next season, we going into winter now in NZ.
