Faria gauge conversion for 2000 SAN with 'Correct Craft Cruise'?

I just ordered gauges to replace the broken digital ones. My boat has 'Correct Craft Cruise by Perfect Pass', not Perfect Pass Digital Pro or Wakeboard Pro. I was advised by nautiqueparts.com that I want the gauges for "boats without perfect pass", since this system is apparently one that bypasses the guages... (?)

I'm just wondering about install...as I understand it, my cruise control is tied into engine RPM, not boat speed...but does the cruise read the RPMs from the gauge, or is it directly wired to the engine? Will I have any wire coming from the cruise to the tach? Or will the new gauges be completely independent from the cruise system? I looked at the gauge install PDF, and it doesn't mention this system at all.

I am almost positive that the CCC system reads the RPM from the engine itself, not the gauge. You should be all set.

So there's nothing running between the gauges and the CCC?

If there is a wire, I am pretty sure it is just a plane old wire. I think your PP will piggyback off the gray wire going to the Tach. It's not a harness though. The harness (which comes with the package for boats with PP) is only for tying into the paddlewheel (or in my case, the nauticlaugic GPS add-on), which you do not have. You may want to check again with Nautiqueparts.com though, as I think there is no difference between the two packages other than you get an extra harness and cable with the one for PP. In my opinion, I'd get that one unless they can point specifically as to why it would be problematic. That way, if you ever upgrade your PP, you will be set.

I seem to recall getting the gauges first on my 2000 SAN (with the kit for boats with PP), when I did not yet have PP, and it worked just fine. Then I added PP and added in the harness that I did not need initially so that I could get MPH.
