    Any alternative to Faria gauges?

I picked up a 02 SANTE over the winter and of course the digital gauges are bad. I was looking at replacing with the Faria that everyone is using, but they look so cheap to me. Has anyone used anything else, or is Faria pretty much my only option?

Actually, looking at the Faria website, they have some good looking options, but I don't know if they will work in my boat. Does anyone know if something like http://faria-instruments.com/mg2000.php will work?

I just don't like the look of these from White Lake.

Lots of other choices for beautiful gauges if money is not a problem. You can get a GPS speedo and a matching tach that you can put on your boat. The gauge size on a 2002 is smaller, but you you may be able to even enlarge the cutout holes to fit bigger gauges.

With all of this said, if you have perfect pass stargazer, you already have a gps speedo and built in tach. You can just stick with that. If you don't have perfect pass, then spend your money on that.

I really liked the Teleflex analog replacements I used. They look like they were original - and fit in the existing holes, no need to modify the dash...

I have PP, but not stargazer. Of course, money is always an issue, but the kit from White Lake is $300. The others I pictured are around $500 new. I would spend the extra for a nicer look. I am just wondering if anyone has installed anything else, what they look like, how difficult it was.

Is that a picture of your Super Sport? My gauges look quite a bit different than that. Maybe because I have the team edition with the Excalibur (does the Excalibur change anything because of ECU, etc?)? I agree, though, they look stock in yours and the back light matches the buttons.

Yes, this picture was from my super sport, I don't know why the dash is different, maybe the Team package or maybe CC changed it up a bit in 2002 (my NSS was a 2001). I doubt the engine made a difference.

Sorry, guess I was just trying to say that I have seen some nice looking gauges out there. Didn't mean to imply anything. I think jmo's look great.

I missed your link to the MG 2000 gauges. They look nice. Do you have the carbon fiber dash, the woodgrain or the silver? I bet they would be pretty easy to install.

At our shop we have taken the 2000-01 replacement gauges and painted the rim like the 2002 instead of using the chrome bezel unit. we used model paint from the craft store.

Not sure about other options, but here is a pic of the Faria gauges installed in my dash. They were super easy to install, just plug into the pp. I just recently also changed the fuel, volt, temp, and oil gauges to the newer replacement ones from White Lake. I like the look of them with the chrome better than the painted silver, jmo. Also have a look at vanislwake overhaul on his 02. He got some white face versions 2002 Sante complete overhaul/ upgrade. The MG2000's do look nice.

I did the replacement with the teleflex guages. They looked much better than the farias. My part numbers were 84310F and 84510F. The teleflex guage is a better guage in my opinion.

I replaced the tach from the digital to the analog, found a stereo remote which fit in the 5" hole, and use the perfect pass stargazer gauge for my speedo and tach (I typically ignore the analog). Works great for me.

Did the new Faria gauges (fuel volt temp &oil) plug right into the existing wiring? I did the RPM speedo replacement already and want to do like you did looks great.

I'm changing my gauges out on the off season and thinking of going with the Teleflex as well. The ones earlier in the thread are from 2012.
